More and Banana Chips

Okay, first more Promises.

"Listen to your heartbeat and dance."

Umm, good since I am going to be going to my friends show tonight.

"When two hearts race, both win."

My comment is if one of the has a heart condition one of them dies.

On to banana chips.

Not a big fan of Trader Joe's Organic Banana Chips, which is probably good since I tend to compulsively eat them if they are. They make the monkey happy.

Now what to bake? And what to be for Halloween?

Dove Promises

I love Dove Promises. I also love fortune cookies for the same reason. Althought tied to Dove Promises is an image of Jesse in a movie theatre realizing they had phrases and pealing the wrappers back open to see what they said.

So, one of my co-workers is nice enought to keep a bowl of chocolates for the office.

These are my "promises":

You're allowed to do nothing.

Send a love letter this week.(So ignoring.)

Live your dreams.

Keep the promises you make to yourself.

Hmm.

What I love about being single . . .

I love being able to sleep in the middle of the bed and not having to share the covers.

I love being able to do absolutely nothing when I get home.

I love not having to worry about any body else or their day.

I love being able to go and see the movies I want to see.

I love my freedom.

P.S. I also love Bat for Lashes.

I am not an Ad Campaign

Every year I buy a new Moleskin notebook. It’s that time of the year, my little book has reached it’s capacity. There is no more room to scrawl names of bands or books I hear about on NPR, no room for numbers, or to do lists. Some pages are a jumble of different bits of information. The back pages are filled with addresses and phone numbers of friends and family. There is an entire section on restaurants I like or places I need to check out. An ingredient list for Ryan and Liz’s chocolate cinnamon cheesecake. Train schedules. List of sushi places in Jesse’s handwriting. Incomplete play lists. Concert lists. Contact info for people I don’t even know. In the back pocket there are a couple of business cards and ticket stubs. Across the front is the sticker , “I am not an Ad Campaign.” , I got at a friend’s show. Bits of clear tape have given up on keeping the cracked spine together. It’s a battered little book, but it’s part of my life. I rarely leave home with out it.

I’ll keep it just like I’ve keep all the ones before it. It’s almost an unintentional journal of my last year. It begins with me getting back from Korea and it is ending with me moving to my new place and a little beyond. The first page is filled with bus stations and hotels. It’s ending with an allergy list and a menu for our housewarming party. How quickly the year has come and gone. It’s too bad there isn’t much wisdom captured in these pages, just past events. Things that have come and gone.

Who knows what will fill up the new book. The first thing that will go in is contact info, then places, and who knows what next. So here’s to a new year. I don’t know what is going to happen but I am going to make it a good year. I hope you all do too.

Here's to an AMAZING year!

Fuck Nut

Yeah.

Monkey.

Someone once said I had a monkey in my brain at a control panel who randomly pushes buttons in search of the banana button. I don't like raw bananas. Poor monkey. Just like everything else, all for naught.

I don't know who is sadder me or the monkey.

Dreams and Realities

Yeah, I am back, at least for tonight. Been chatting with Cyradis most of the night in between "The Cat Returns" and "Dr. Who."

Just another day. When did days just become things needed to be gotten through. I love the Franz Ferdinand song about everyone working to go on vacation. It's true. We work for our vacation or the dream of a vacation. It's interesting if you think about what people to choose to do on vacation. It says more about a person sometimes than what they do the rest of the year. What does a cruise say about a person? Verses backpacking? Or road trips?

I'm going to Seattle, which will be good because I will get to see friends. But will it be a true vacation?

No. If I could do anything?

I'd just get up and go. Any where, just me and a back pack. As long as I had enougth money to get by I wouldn't care where I was as long as it was some place different. I dream of freedom and new experiences. Because I am not free and life is some what stale. It's not bad, it's just stable. It's life.

Ah, well. To the future.
